When Franz Landtmann opened Vienna´s most elegant Café on October 1st ,1873
he founded a Viennese Institution.

Since that time it is one of the most favoured Cafés in Vienna, with so outstanding regulars as Peter Altenberg, Sigmund Freud, Gustav Mahler, Max Reinhardt, Marlene Dietrich, Romy Schneider, Burt Lancaster, Hans Moser, the Dutch Queen Juliane, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sir Paul Mc Cartney.

You can reach us by public transport via tram 1, 2 or D as well as by subway: U2 station "Schottentor" or U3 station "Herrengasse"

By car, please drive until Dr.Karl-Lueger-Ring next to "Burgtheater" vis à vis "Rathaus".

Space for parking is available - mention the limited parking zone! - in the place between "Burgtheater" and "Landtmann-terrace" and parking house next to the "Rathaus park".
